Christopher

Christopher

Portrait of Christopher. While this doesnt impact on the image, he is autistic and my son, so I am a little biased when it comes to photos of him.

He is also an avid film photographer and loves printing in the darkroom (with a little help).

I think this one is ok but I am biased. What do I need to improve on?

Maybe just a little fill light for his face, not so much that it looks like a spotlight, maybe 1/2 stop or so. But it's an excellent portrait. Reminds me a lot of the example portraits in old Kodak publications. Some people may not find that an attribute, but the style fits the subject and his pose quite nicely, I think.

Nice portrait. The expression on the boy's face has that genuine or sincere quality that's hard to get when you ask a person to smile for the camera.

He's quite a handsome boy with a sweet smile. I also love the portrait. I agree that fill light could help with the shadow or move to an area with less shadows.
