BRIDGE TO NOWHERE

Near Arkansas Highway 41 in Sebastian County, out in the middle of a field stands this abandonded concrete arch bridge. A single lane bridge for a road long gone. Estimated build date about 1921 or so.

I like the dark tones of this image (at least that's how it shows up on my monitor) - to me it is nostalgic and representative of another era long gone.

It does look a bit English. Was there a road there at one time? In England we occasionally have bridges between fields for cattle, etc.
