I like the dark tones of this image (at least that's how it shows up on my monitor) - to me it is nostalgic and representative of another era long gone.

It does look a bit English. Was there a road there at one time? In England we occasionally have bridges between fields for cattle, etc.

There appears to be a grade for a road there, at one time. This is an early road bridge type found in Arkansas.
