The graphic, two dimensional thing that's happening here makes this an image that compels prolongued viewing. Well done.

This is beatiful.
I know this is not a creatique gallery and what I am sugesting is just that- a sugestion. The water has a beautiful glow to it only to be offset by a pretty even sky with no glow...I think this image would benefit from cropping the sky out and closing the image by the dark mass of the land in the background, it would be more abstract and would accentuate the glow of the water...
I like your work ... Thank you for posting. ILYA

One of the best images posted in a long long time. Unbelievable!!! Stunning. Great Job Daniel.

Thank you all very kindly for your comments. Ilya, your suggestions are appreciated and mirror some of the same thoughts I had when deciding how to print this. I felt that cropping out the sky would diminish the feeling of the branches reaching down towards the fallen branch, which I felt was essential for this composition to work. The challenge would be to make the area of the sky more interesting. In following the teaching, "Always go too far with your printing to find what's right", I was afraid I had gone too far- perhaps I haven't gone far enough yet.

All the best,
Daniel
