For JD Callow: Vancouver in Colour

Last November I was in Vancouver for my job, and I had the wonderful opportunity of spending an evening with Mr Callow himself, so here's a little shot in colour (because these are canadian colours) that I took there on the sunday after we went for drinks.

For those who know the geography of the town, my hotel was in the new dowtown. I moved from that position to the Eastside on Sunday and it was an exercise in class consciousness I'm not going to forget soon.

To those of us unfamiliar with the geography of the town it just looks like a bunch of tall buildings.

lovely.

This town has all the makings of a photographic cornucopia. Interesting from a distance, up close, great variety, wonderful light and town folk that runs an even wider gamut.

It was great meeting with you Michel: great conversation, and good beverages. I wished we could have spent some time shooting. Maybe you'll return or I'll make it back to Quebec.

Just about a mile away from me is a bridge where a Nissan commercial was shot. They make the cityscape look oh so modern and inviting -- I can't wait to see what I can do with it.
