Lochan

Okay, I'm aware that there's a rule against splitting the frame dead-centre horizontally with the horizon. I'm also aware that sometimes people break these rules to good effect.

The question is, is this one of those times? Okay, I know it's not dead centre, but it's fairly close. What do you think, does it work?

Works well for me. Thanks for sharing.

Isn't this where you'd stand for the view without the camera? If it works for the naked eye perspective then it should work for the camera also and it does.

I'll argue that you've played conformist, just a bit...

If you notice, the top of the mountain/hillside to the bottom of its corresponding shadow along the right edge of the frame, takes up approximately 2/3 of the right edge...on the left side, the visible mountainside with its shadow takes up about 1/3 of the left edge.....thereby tipping your hat to the rule of thirds...

either or, the shot works well for me..nice job!

Many thanks for the feedback
