The building was the Fleetwood Metal Body Company, founded in 1909. It was acquired by Fisher Body, moved to Detroit and integrated into GM in 1931, but this small Pennsylvania town remained the name of a Cadillac model. In passing thru two weekends ago, I noted a building near this one had been torn down. Seemed a good idea to record this one just in case.
Always a good idea to get them while they're still standing. I sort of did a double take with this one, thinking it was the (original) Fleetwood near Lancaster!
