The Creek called "Dommel" flows through Noord brabant (The Netherlands). Now besides a new nature area called "het groene woud" (the green forest www.groenewoud.nl). When you walk along the Creek over grass lands (with high boots) you meet interesting pictures.

Nice shot, I like the composition.
 
In addition to being well composed, the four trees on the far side of the open water look as though they were sinking. The height changes look like more than the perspective of distance. I like the impression it leaves.

I agree with Rich, the sloping trees lead your eye down to the dissapearing river making it a successful image.
