Fort Pike

I spent the day traveling along Highway 11. This area was especially hard hit by Hurricane Katrina. I wanted to get inside to see what damage was done but the Bridge that lead to it was washed away. The front of the fort visible only from the water was knocked into the water.

I really love this image, Sam.
I keep coming back to it. We are but weak when it comes to the incredible force and power of nature and I get that with all of your images and this one has a quietness that I love.
