Taken some years ago at Tremen Glen which is in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. I still haven't achieved a print from my 4x5 comparable to what I like about this one...so I've started saving for a much better 4x5 lens. The Pentax lenses are waaay hard to equal I think.
I recall I had great difficulty fitting all three falls into the frame, but my 105 lens would have included too much.
I agree with John...it does sing! I love the contrast, and the steps down to the bottom. But there are also so many other things to see here...like those thin streams coming down the left. Beautiful composition!

We really are getting treated to many pictures that glow this weekend and this is very much one of them. This one is so tactile I feel like I could reach out and touch those rocks.
I have shot this EXACT shot from about 10 years ago as well... (had to dig up the neg to double check...)
Knowing what is there, I think that you could have opened up the top just a bit to not crowd the upper falls) Just a bit... Not far enough to get the fourth falls in and avoiding the bridge far above. It would also help show even more depth to this wonderful image. Any room on the neg for this, or is this full frame? A very nice image!
Thank you all for your kind comments. Joe, I used a fixed lens and had no more room on the narrow path to back up. As I said above, it was hard to get this in the frame (it is the full neg). The pentax has a zoom lens that's very expensive. It would've been nice to have had here.
