Male Karpaty in winter

This picture is from January 2005. The reason why I post it here is that I printed it few days ago again as the first picture in my new Nova darkroom print processor. Simply saying - it was great. This print is 12x16 inches so I printed first 30x40 cm after years. More about these beautiful gadgets on www.novadarkroom.com.

There is a second reason - I spent hilarious Saturday afternoon on this hill. I took 3 pieces of 120 films and nearly one full 35 mm - unbelievable amount consider my usual consumption. September was amazing this year here in Slovakia, dry and sunny. I was thinking about this hill for week or two. I hope there would be one or two pictures with something from that sunny light. The softautumn sunny light, so different from that summer high contrast light, when there is only black and white.
I am pleased to read that you are enjoying using your Nova slot processor, they are very popular here in England. Sometimes the light is good and we use a lot of film, it is important to record such events, as you picture shows.

Beautiful light. Love the creamy smooth tonal range you got. What film/dev combo did you use?

I have just been away for a week and what a joy to see your wonderful image on my return.

I must say that I am liking it very much. It's a very brave composition and works very well, with a lovely balance between the highlights and shadows.

I must ask, was it a straight print? and was the development as peter recommends? or did you modify in any way.

Nice one.

It's already been said, thanks for sharing.
