Well, actually just the engine of an old bulldozer. I found this high in the White Mountains of eastern California. Too much fun!

Nice shot. Been a long time since I saw a pony motor ( starter ). It's a two cylinder gas engine to start the diesel engine. The lever marked clutch is pulled to engage starter.
