Jonah

Jonah is my very sensitive middle child. After a week of wedding craziness, late nights, and not a lot of "mom" time, Jonah was having a bit of a tough time.

Before we arrived in Charleston, I knew I wanted to get a wall-worthy shot of all three kids on the joggling board at Bob's parents' house. But after a few minutes of trying, it was obvious that Jonah just wasn't going to get into the group spirit.

It was a really memorable moment when I sent the other kids off to play and took a few quiet moments alone with Jonah. Just a couple of minutes of one-on-one attention brought out the most amazing, glowing expression. It's rare to get an image of the real, unguarded Jonah, so this frame is as special to me as the moment that produced it.

Cheryl,
It's a great shot and a great story.
Also a wonderful perspective on parenting. Just a couple of minutes of one on one attention can reallly do wonders in a whole range of situations.
Thanks for sharing this,
Tom

Cheryl,

Thanks for sharing that wonderful glimpse of you and your son. I love the expression on Jonah's face and I love the beautiful tones of the image.
