Sunday morning in black-and-white

Several people asked if I had any non-polaroid prints from this shoot. Here is one of my favorites.

as still as stone, as smooth as marble..i love the fingers of her left hand and the wrinkles in her kimono and her freckles and the book..and oh yes..the light..i love the light. kat~

Thom, I like everything about this picture except for the cushion she's sitting on which I find distracting (sorry).

I disagree on the cushion. The whole thing(including the book)has a whole come hither, erotic, drench me in chocolate (and start your day)feel to it.Oh yeah the light...

Huh? What cushion?
Distracting? Yes, the entire photograph is "distracting". Very.
Lord, but it is tough to deal with envy.

Greeat picture!
Nice tonality and composition.
The skin tones are smooth and you have all the detail in there.

I hadn't noticed the cushion until it was mentioned...if anything (and my green horn opinion really doesn't count in such august company), I find myself looking for more detail in her hair at her shoulders...great composition, great shot. I'm envious...

There is a bit more detail in the original print, although the scan is close. I will try to bring out a little more in the hair next time I am in the darkroom.
