Thanks for the nice comments. This place was another gem that Bill was kind enough to share with us. The surface of the water, which resulted from a gentle drizzle, was a pleasant surprise and lent a ghostly quality to the reflections.
Thanks Mike, John and Thom. The 4x5s I took from this trip have a very different feel relative to the medium format images. It could be the particular locale, but my eye was latching on to compositions with obvious rhythmic components. Looking at the groundglass with an upside-down image and racking the image way out of focus helps with that (trying to convince you to keep the 4x5 John )
Outstanding composition and execution. The way the lighter lily pads intersect the darker reflections at various points is wonderful - good planning or good instincts?? Doesn't matter!
