- Instead of using the digital file, I photographed the trail camera’s small preview screen with a 4×5 camera, effectively re-photographing the image at a much larger scale.
By doing this, the pixels become visible and physical as a structure.
The process is deliberate. It emphasises that our encounter with the wolf is mediated through technology. We don’t meet it directly, but through devices designed to observe, monitor, and frame it. At the same time, the image takes on a more ambiguous, almost mythical quality.
