Horicon Marsh-3

I have never seen a pelican in Michigan. I did hear a rumor that I believe somebody spotted a Brown Pelican on Michigan west side a few years back. Nice peaceful picture.

Wisconsin. White pelicans are known to bread in several places in the state; Horicon marsh is one of them.

I never saw pictures of that Brown pelican and still think maybe it might have been alcohol related, but you never know. I'm going to do some research and find out if any pelicans visit here. I live on a small lake in north central Michigan and I have seen a White egret on the lake the last two years. It's usually very late summer and I figure it was just making a stop over during migration. Of course there is no such thing as "Global Warming" so who knows???
