Taken in Burntisland on "Games Day". These tourists from Glasgow spotted my Bronica and asked if I could photograph them. The warm midday sun was on my back.
Doric is a mystery to me, but I love it. I can remember back when I was a child a lifetime ago, Burntisland Games Day, on the first Monday of the Fife Fair, buses and trains from Glasgow would offload their passengers in Burntisland, and hundreds of Glaswegians would descend on the town. It still happens today, as you can see from this photograph, but not in the same numbers. The opening of the railway from the Forth Bridge from the late 19th Century transformed the Fife coastal towns.
They gave me an email address. I sent a scan, with the offer of a print. They liked the scan but didn't seem to want a print. In situations like this I always offer a print. Stefan
