Teasel (Dipsacus fullonum) bracts. I was trying to show background separation, but it may have come-out "too swirly." Please let me know what you think.
Actually, none. I shot it at ISO 32, and had it developed "normally," by the lab. They use Clayton F76+ developer. I've found Panatomic-X ages very well. I shot some (last year) that expired in May of 1958, and it was fine.
Yes, the subject (flower head) and background items have a similar shape and size which does make it busy and lack separation.
Maybe you try shooting from another angle or perhaps wait until the background has less light on it or ??
