The Big Babinski

Neurologists who are also fans of Coen brothers movies will get my title. But if you are a Johnny Cash fan, you might prefer, "I'll toe the line"? The artist, James Hall, calls his sculpture "The Defeat of Bigfoot"

I don't get the reference, but absolutely love the image!
Don't worry, Daniela. You need to know about a film called the Big Labowski or the singer Johnnie Cash's song "I'll walk the line" That latter phrase in English means almost the same as "Toe the Line" which means "behaving yourself" or acting responsibly

Knowing about such things requires living amongst what is termed the English speaking nations, where there are still some differences in the meaning of certain phrases, for about 20 years and immersing yourself in its complete culture which has serious dangers and may be harmful to you inner person 😟

I speak as someone who has been immersed in such a culture for nearly 80 years 😉

Yes it is a great image

Thanks to all for your kind comments.

Obscure medical fact: The Babinski reflex is a characteristic reaction that occurs when the bottom of the foot is stroked, causing the big toe to curl upwards and the other toes to spread out. This is a normal result in children younger than 2 years old. But if the characteristic reflex reaction occurs in older children or adults, then it is an abnormal result, possibly indicating a neurological problem.

😆Thank you for the explanation! I do know the movie and song (vaguely), but couldn't make the connection.
