Thanks Daniela. It is indeed a memorial for Alexei Navalny. There was also a shrine for Alexei Navalny here at the Mercat Cross outside St Giles Cathedral when he died in 2024.

Thanks mfohl. When Alexei Navalny was alive rubber ducks were used as a symbol against corruption.

The photo is not that dissimilar to what I imagine Dougray Scott to have looked like at what appears to be the age of the Navalny in the phot

Dougray might not be a bad choice if they ever make a film about Navalny

Dougray Scott as you will know, is one of Scotland's finest actors. His performance in Irvine Welsh's "Crime" series received a lot of plaudits. Comparisons were made with Ian Rankin's Rebus books. I wish someone would make a film about the tragedy of Alexei Navalny's life and death.
