Ouch, sounds horrible, but better the camera than you.

sometimes the price we pay to make the image is not what we anticipated!!! I daresay you've certainly paid the price for your art!

I walked back to where I had set up to retrieve the rest of my kit, poor gal thought she would save me a walk back to the car, she didn't realize I already carried my camera back and set it behind the car, no way I could be angry with her. Besides, replacing the camera and tripod is way cheaper than a divorce.
