I never associated this kind of weather with Australia but you've captured the wintry scene well. It's been about 28 degrees C here today in the U.K. but this has helped cool me. I like the way the scene fades away in a wintry mistiness.
Tony, I like the photograph quite well. Have you considered cropping the LHS so that the rocks in the snow are out. When I cover the screen to do this, the house to me, appears stronger in the overall scene. I've just spent the Queen's birthday weekend camping and motorcycling in the Snowies. I've been trying to take a hut up on one of the plains for the last few years but each time I've been there, the weather or lack of snow has stopped me. Mick.
Thanks Mick, the areas at front are actually bare ground where the cows have been lying( brrr..). I have tried cropping this but had to cut off too much foreground I felt.
When I took the photo I moved closer to the house but preffered more background in the photo, it looks good in a large print.
I agree that the snow is a fickle thing, handy to be close as it only lasts a short while.
