Lower Methil docks lighthouse. Been out of use for a long time. Built around 1890. Taken at high tide. The area around here is crumbling fast. Taken in winter it was pretty wild.
Maybe not a whaler but maybe a lighthouse keeper, although the 2019 film The Lighthouse was perhaps a more realistic look at life on a lighthouse. Methil Docks exported 3million tons of coal annually in the early 20th century. It's now an industrial wasteland with the odd dog walker and idiots like me braving the winter tides. This lighthouse will no doubt be demolished at some point.
