The scanning actually killed the lighter parts and the subtlety of the light inside the window on the right; so I'm definitely happier with the print than with the scan.
You have a great eye: this is perfectly composed--both the placement of the subject in the frame (it poses a question and then answers it) and her anonymity. She is the universal bookworm (like my granddaughter, who can always be found in a corner somewhere with a book in her hands).
