Nice picture, one is drawn to the light coloured axe handle, which to me is the centrepiece of the image.
Speaking of axe handles, that looks like a short handle and possibly a generic handle as it doesn't have an angle right at the end to stop one sliding their hand off.
Says he who has a brace of axes and had an uncle who was an axeman felling trees for a living with his five or so axes.
Thanks for your comments. She was part of a world war two re-enactment ceremony early summer. I was using a waist-level finder. Other people were taking images with their smartphones. I waited until she was isolated to capture her image. I agree the axe handle is an important element of the photograph.

Thanks pentaxuser. There's no secret. Out on the streets if I see something or someone I want to see in a photograph I press the shutter. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
