I don't see any real advantages with Caffenol C using as semi-stand for those chromogenic films - I found the recipe once here in the forum and just wanted to try it. It works well. The XP2 / Neopan CN is a film that is relatively tolerant. But there are 'real' black and white films where I prefer Caffenol compared to commercial b/w-developers.
Disadvantages compared to C-41 development (which I don't do at home) are only seen by my wife -
she complains that I left the sink in the bathroom dirty ...
