Great stuff. And to think, I, a Victorian, thought I needed to go to Death Valley to see sand like that.

What seperates this from a regular sand dune photograph is the stip of beach...it adds so much depth and distance. How tall was that dune anyways? I'm guessing a couple hundred feet at least!

Thanks for the comments. The dune in the centre is about 30 meters (100 feet) high. Some of the hills are about 50 meters where they drop into the river.

Lovely - the shapes, the tones, and the fact that there is nothing in the picture to indicate the real scale, so your eyes are constantly searching around for a clue.
