Three of my own favorite photos are of old gas pumps. Does that make us weird?

I don't drive anymore, but this is the only thing I miss.....the crazy things you see on the side of the roads. You see 'em on the eBike too, but the range isn't like a car or motorcycle, and the really weird stuff is usually right outside of towns. Great shot, glad you stopped to get it.

There is something mysterious about old petrol pumps, a kind of tunnel into the past.

Older pumps are easy to anthropomorphise. (I think I even remember a TV skit years ago about pumps coming to life and terrorizing people).
Modern pumps just seem smug - something about how high they can count money

I like the way the weeds are growing up - it is sort of a harbinger of electric vehicles to come.

I agree with the others about the pumps but, the actual photo is quite well done and, unlike the others, I went instantaneously to the
background and my brain yelled "Nevada"
