I looked it up. It is a camera obscura.

Yes it’s a camera obscura and the lens rotates and there’s a mirror or a prism that projects the image down onto a concave viewing screen. Wow, I didn’t even notice the silhouetted figure, guess I should look a little closer at my own photographs. :smile:
