I really like this. It's a horrific abstract vision, just the thing for Halloween. Makes me want to load up my Mamiya Press and see what can happen with multiple exposures...
@mooseontheloose I do both actually. I have about 5 sharpie dots on the GG for composition. You choose 1 depending on the subject. I’ve done it lots of times hand held. Hard to hold it still and fire the shutter. Much more precise with the tripod. I took me a few cameras before I figured out a tlr works best. I started out with a cheap folder style camera with a huge linhof sports finder on top of it, but that was tricky to get right…
@Devorobin Thanks for the info! I've done multiple exposures like this with my Holga to varying degrees of success (it's hard to to adjust exposures with the one shutter speed setting) but I like the idea of trying it with my Rolleiflex, now that I have one that allows for multiple exposures. Are your sharpie dots in random places, or more in a row?
@mooseontheloose I have one near all for corners and one in the center. As for the math I just multiply the iso by the number of shots I want to take and that seems to do the trick. I've metered for 10 shots and actually shot too many before like say 12 just to see what would happen but exposure wise it doesn't seem to care really. Its definitely a bit hit or miss though, tricky finding a subject that works well..
@Devorobin Thanks! I'll have to try that the next time I go out shooting. Although many places in Kyoto prohibit tripods, there are a few places that aren't so famous and are quite relaxed about it. I may try them once the fall foliage season is over.
