Stape Village Hall

This was one of the last photos I took of the village hall. It ended up been set on fire. When I enquired why, a local told me it was burned down by the community! It was too expensive to repair. All that's left there are the outline of the foundations. The field is now used for grazing sheep.

Very nicely done photo, capturing a real sense of the place. The volunteer fire department in my home town uses decrepit old buildings like this for training. You supply the beer and they can make the fire last until it's gone.
