The "Palazzo Ducale Tower", a glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly in the Italian Garden on the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. The photo was taken in September of 2018. This print (1/25) was made in February, 2020 on 8” x 10” paper.
That Chihuly guy does some awesome work for a one-eyed man -- but I'm astonished that the Biltmore Estate leaves his work out in the open like that. One overzealous wild turkey or large hawk and that'd be a genuinely ugly cleanup job rather than a beautiful glass sculpture...
@Donald Qualls Chihuly's work isn't as fragile as it looks. Each piece for something this size weighs about 5 pounds or more and is all secured very well at the center.
