@Kodachromeguy There is another one in the same field (see my other photo Standing Stone and Tractor) and another one literally across the road.There is a very large by the lighthouse and three others in another remote part of the Island near St. Brendan (The Mariner's) Well. I'll post some shots of those over the next few days.
Nice! Like the composition. When I was a farm kid, we would take the stone boat some days and pick up stones. Dad would want this one out of the field for sure.
@bsdunek He would not be able to live here then. It's illegal to move the (genuine) ancient standing stones, and other things such as ring forts and burial suites, from land in Ireland. The farmers just have to work around them, and if you buy land, you can't build on it within a certain distance of the sites.
