Thank you for the kind comments. Ajaye is a great subject (I’ve photographed her several times now) and a fantastic burlesque performer. This frame is from the first roll of our first session; it’s common for me to take portraits in this simplistic style to start. I don’t normally compose and frame this tight; I was probably close to the minimum focusing distance for that lens. Looking at the contact sheet, I cropped a bit of the bottom, but not the top.

@eli griggs I usually don’t use filters when doing portraits, but I should try. Yes, I have a darkroom at home and love to make prints.
