Thanks, this is a great spot, the afternoon light kinda splays up the valley... this is not too far from the Pinnacles National Monument... probably geologically related..

It's a little hard for me, due to the extremely good resolution, to understand what I see at the second plan on the left : is plain very smooth rock, with a fault line along its edge, or a distant green hill, with a trail along the crest ? Thanks for posting your great pictures !
