This photo was taken down an embankment of Glacier Creek near Alberta Falls, Rocky Mountain National Park. The image was taken utilizing the full exposure range (and beyond of Provia 100) from black to white. The exposure was calculated so that the water of the cascade(s) would look like spun glass. The polaroid test indicated the shutter time of 1/15 sec would render this effect. The aperture was calculated so that the mosses growing on the rocks at right under the water would be correct and visible. The rocks at the lower left anchor the image down adding additional interest. If you look carefully there are actually 3 cascades in the image. People were wondering what I was doing/photographing as I ducked in and out from under the dark cloth until they saw the Polaroid tests. Then they said Oh!
