All alone, eh, Andrew. I am not surprised. Based on the earlier self portrait, anyone with any sense gives Dan McGrew a wide berth
On a more technical note and knowing little about 8x10 with 4x5 back and Rollei reciprocity correction, what was the metered exposure and aperture for what look like a relatively close-up shot? No ND required I take it.
This stuff looks as if it is pure enough to be poured straight into Canadian whisky. It is only your lot and my lot who spell whisky correctly.
@pentaxuser haha I think everyone's giving me a wide berth due to poor personal hygiene....all from utter laziness. You'll be happy to hear that I finally shaved and took a long, hot bath. The 4x5 back is a reducing back for the 8x10. I couldn't afford another 4x5 camera so this is like having two cameras for the price of one... Rollei reciprocity is pretty brutal. A metred exposure of 8 seconds becomes 24, but I decided to extend it to 32...actually, I spaced out while counting beats from my timer, that I passed the 24 sec mark. I was at 30 sec before I snapped out of it! With HP5, I could have gotten away with 12 seconds. I used a 300mm lens. No ND filter was necessary. I take my whisky with a threat of water.
@pentaxuser I take offense, sir, I do. It's a wonderful photograph, but Jack Daniels and Maker's Mark are (and so spelled) whiskey, whilst Laphroaig. The McCallan, Talisker, Glen Grant, etc. are (and so spelled) whisky. At least that is so among my lot.
@Andrew O'Neill Speaking of social distancing, you might also try glancing at a nearby water faucet while pouring your drink -- of course, the faucet must be a minimum of three feet distant.
@Ken Bingham Ken You'r right The stuff with an "e" is pretty good as well. As for Andrew he is not without blame. Even his lot beyond the 49th let us down by driving on the wrong side of the road
