Without the boardwalk to provide scale, it could be a much larger landscape.

It's a National Wildlife Refuge so you can only access the beach by using the boardwalks. Right now it's the winter residence to a large population of Snowy Owls, Short Ear Owls, Bald Eagles, and hosts many more species of Raptors, etc. It's a beautiful place.

Oh, and in the summer it's Greenhead Fly Territory and the beach is closed for the Piping Clover's
