Nice shot. You've caught his face well. It's sombre and reflects his resignation to the fate of his protest. It says: I have to do this but I don't expect it to change anything.
Even the weather is against him I suspect. There's a story here. Assuming it wasn't a one man protest, then I doubt if you could have chosen a better subject to portray an older generation protest. So, well judged.
 
I'll be brief: its a great portrait. Very expressive.
 
Thanks everyone for the kind comments. It was a very long time ago since I took this photo. I have many more from that period. My photography now is mainly architecture and landscape. But I really did enjoy taking street portraits, especially of older people they seem to have more character. Perhaps Iv'e inspired myself to take up the old Nikons again. Who Knows.
