A shot from another test of a recently acquired Mamiya M645 body. As I've noted elsewhere (Critique Gallery) I suspected intermittent issues with my existing camera. Maybe it was the camera, maybe it was my developing. So far, I'm happy with the new body. After all, who wouldn't want a new body?
So this is the new body What a waste of money, Ken. The picture is pin sharp, all the tones are there and right and clearly the processing is right as well. It looks to me as if you will have to put up with good pics for the future but I have to say this is your own fault
To rub salt into the wound I feel I must say that this may be the best and most flagrant example of getting things absolutely right that I have seen in some time
Do not show these new pics to the family unless you want to spend a lot of free time taking and processing exposures in the future
A really great shot. Pity it is not a real train tho' . Real trains run on coal and steam
@pentaxuser Lol. Thanks (I think). In the future, I shall muster as much energy as I can to put up with better work. Can't make any promises about finding "real" trains around here, though . . .
Thanks, @macfred. Actually, I was scouting a bit when I took that picture. Some friends asked me to make them a 2020 calendar with some photographs I took of an abandoned farmhouse near here earlier this year, and I'm already thinking ahead for a calendar subject for 2021. All things railroad, so to speak, definitely have appeal.
