that was a picture of an orchid my mom grew.she had a large green house with about a hundred or so plants,all differ'nt varieties.she is turning 91 next week and i'm off to virginia to visit for a week.if it wasnt for her i would have probably never picked up a camera.
pete you mention a kodak brownie , well i went off to camp when i was probably only ten or so and while hiking with my classmates i slipped tripped and fell dropping the brownie of a small cliff.cant tell you how many pieces it wound being but i was scared you know what to tell my folks i broke one of my moms cameras.thats when i found out my mom wanted to give me her an old german jubilette folding 35mm camera.thank god she didnt.well long story short when i spoke with her a few weeks ago i told her i bought an old F1 and some lens.she was very excited to say the least and she then gets out that old jubilette out of the closet. still in the case with the manual (in german and english ) in mint condition.well after all these years she says she is going to show me how to use it.i cant wait.
i hope to have a few pics for you from that camera from my trip and also from years past.
