Summer in the city

This caught my eye. Such a scene where kids can have a paddling pool on the street which is safe and traffic free was common in the U.K. but this was just before we fought Kaiser Wilhelm II in 1914

In Leeuwarden they still fight the Kaiser 'VWelm von Diesel'.
