You can even see the quality of this image on my monitor I bet a print would be stunning. The onion head tops and the type of crosses on the towers remind me of the Russian Church I wonder if there is any connection ?

I would guess, like the Kansas prairie, Canada had immigrants of German orgin that came from Russia.

Very nice work.

Thanks Murray, it figures, and is very interesting. Congratulations again this is a very fine print.

Murray,
Another great capture! It looks and feels like I can just walk up and go in. The steps are interesting to me, I just wonder if the worn look has been caused over the years by the thousands of feet that have tread over them? The old building and those steps I bet could tell us a grand story, if we only knew how to listen. The image alone truly stirs the imagination. Thanks for posting, it's a dandy!

Charlie, thanks for the comments, I think the steps are worn due to the elements and the lack of care. The grounds are maintained and there are several of these churches in this area and most are in perfect condition dating before the turn of the twentieth century. A lot of these churches are on their own with no other buildings around them. I looked inside and the pews, alter and a few other things remain. Yes the stories they could tell!!
