I am presently in Paris and the black cat, also present in Manet's "Olympia", has a metaphorical meaning in French that, from here anyway, adds drama to the excellent composition and originality of this shot.
Love it.

Two yoni (unless we also count the electrical outlet). The cat is winking.

What are "correct negative values" ?

Admirable website, btw.

I love all of your comments! Thank you.

I am probably going to reprint this, it looks stronger on the screen that in person. Maybe palladium isn't the best choice. But we'll see.

Regarding negative values, perhaps "negative density range" better describes it. When printing from negatives made from an inkjet negative, if one were just to invert the image to negative, and print from that, the shadows would all be buried as would most of the midtowns, and many of the highlights would be blocked. This is due to the fact that the negative may look good to eye, (if your used to printing analogue negatives) but ink doesn't block light the way a film negative does. So a correction curve is pessary before printing the negative image onto film in the inkjet printer. There are any books books and tutorials on creating these curves. I've studied mark Nelson's Precision Digital Negative system (PDN).
