Wow, that's sharp ! And very well executed. You choosed to show the geometry of these Phalenopsis branch rather a more classical view, and it's original.
BTW, and you are not alone with this, why have you specified this as an "Hybrid" workflow image ? For me, it's a fully analog photograph (negative scan are (thanskfully) accepted in the Analog gallery).
Thank you. It was lit with a single fluorescent softbox of about 40x50cm to camera right, and a fill reflector on the left. The background is white foamcore a metre or so away, so it went grey
@Raphael Thanks. I changed the category to analog. I didn't know that inverting a scanned negative and massaging the contrast in Photoshop was still considered analog.
@hsandler : i think initially it was just a contrast "curves" adjustement, so maybe, it's out of the "Analog permitted", but it's up to you
The result is very sharp and cool, anyway.
