A very pleasing image Tony. It's all about the light. A simple composition, but it holds well because the gentle leading line of the rocks leads the eye into the image, and provide the perspective/scale cues.

I just took delivery of a 210 Xenar, so I'm excited to see yours being put to such good use.

Bravo. I really like this image, it's so well done.

Very cool narly old tree. Looks like the tree is going to start talking to you. Looks like he has a face on the trunk, kind of like looking at clouds. One thing is bugging me though, the lower right corner seems to be just a tad to dark compared to the rest of the print.

This is quite a beautiful photo. I like everything about it... the composition, the texture, the tones... it's just gorgeous!

'One ring to rule them all . . .' nice otherworldly sense to the image. Good job.

Love this photograph!!!!!!!!!!
I love all my Xenar lens, 135, 150, 210, 300, 400mm. the lighting on this photograph is so soft and gentle. the tones are very please. as Paddy said a simple subject where the light makes it work so well.
