Boadicea led an uprising against the occupying forces of the Roman Empire in AD 60 or 61, and died shortly after its failure. She is considered a British folk hero .

Ya it's a drag, you have to delete the first image and then upload a new one. I will have to read up on this heroic women. She obviously got tired of waiting around for the men to do something lol.
 
This really is pin sharp and I had no idea that there is a statue of Boadicea there. It's a nice composition with Big Ben in the background
 
The statue is across the road, at an entrance to a pedestrian underpass. I was midway down the steps looking for a vantage point for Big Ben when I saw the statue above me. During a "relatively" quiet moment, I jockeyed a tripod with the RB67 to get a unique photo.
