I always had the impression that Foma films at 200 and 400 were slower than their box speed but this negative suggests that a one stop push delivers a negative with plenty of zones in it. Nothing seems to have suffered

Everytime I push it one stop it seems to seperate out the contrast a little better than shooting them at box speed.

Thanks. Richard Gould who is a subscriber here and a Foma user for a long time, says that Foma films do match their box speeds but he seems to be in the minority. However the evidence here would seem to at least back him up. The only possible "fly in the ointment" to this may depend on how much scanning has been needed to improve the positive from the negative. If the answer is that the scan is effectively a straight one then a good straight darkroom print should be possible. This becomes important if you are a darkroom printer which I am

@pentaxuser this is a straight scan as i haven't messed with it....However, i print very basically in the darkroom and am actually planning on trying this weekend will let you know how i do.
