A little boy eating ice cream outside the Borough Market. Borough Market is an old-fashioned city market that has been around since the 19th century, and is built partly under the railroad tracks that spur off London Bridge.
Scott, you probably now know more about London that many Brits and certainly a lot of Londoners and have taken a lot of pictures; street photos with people, bridges, national monuments etc. It might be educational if you were to make a thread about your experiences good and bad about how much freedom you felt you had
I feel the U.K. may have a bad press in the U.S. about how restrictive photography is here and how there may be a Muslim terrorist around every corner with Muslim "no-go" areas that even the police dare not enter, let alone a tourist. The impression may be that the general populace and police feel "on edge" all the time and both act accordingly.
@pentaxuser I never had that sense while I was there. Nobody reacted badly to me carrying a camera (well, there was one grumpy old man who waved me off when he thought he was going to be in my photo, but that was it). Granted I was in some very touristy areas, where every other person was toting a camera. But still, London was relaxed, friendly, and safe.
Borough Market was where there was a Terrorist Attack, was it not ? People killed and the Police actually SHOT the terrorists-- usually they are TOO SOFT and they get off with a 'warning' and 'Suspended Sentence' and told not to be bad boys----
