Got my hands on 2 sealed boxes of 8x10 Velox
60 year old Velox printed from Kentmere 100.
5 minute enlarger exposure at f/2.8, pulled from developer as soon as image formed to minimize fogging.
Pretty good rendition for 60 year old paper. This one seems slightly out of focus compared to print 2.
I wonder if David Lyga's thread and recipe for fogged paper is worth a try?
I think this would look sharper on modern paper but I'm sure I missed the boat on focus (pun acknowledged).
I saw David's thread and thought it was interesting. I usually start by tossing an amount of Potassium Bromide in the print developer that works well in many cases, but wanted to see how the paper would do without any restrainer first.
